Cristiano Ronaldo left Portugal's national team training camp in Copenhagen on Wednesday following a dispute with head coach Jorge Jesus regarding his place in the starting lineup, according to reports from multiple international news agencies including Reuters and Agence France-Presse.

The departure occurred late Wednesday afternoon after Jesus publicly confirmed that the 41-year-old forward would not be included in the starting eleven for upcoming UEFA Nations League match against Denmark. The decision followed a previous match against Norway where Ronaldo was deployed from the bench, intensifying friction over his diminishing role within the squad.

Following discussions with Portuguese Football Federation president Pedro Proença and the coaching staff, Ronaldo chose to exit the camp. He addressed his departure via social media, stating that he would explain the circumstances surrounding his exit in due course.

Speaking to reporters in Copenhagen, Jorge Jesus downplayed suggestions of a severe internal rift within the team. The manager insisted that there was no fundamental crisis and that his choices were based purely on technical and tactical assessments for the upcoming fixture.

Portuguese football officials have not yet announced whether disciplinary measures or formal roster adjustments will follow the incident. The team remains in Denmark ahead of the scheduled Nations League fixture, while Ronaldo has returned from the squad's base.
